Tranquille Road Improvement Work
Please be advised that The City of Kamloops will be conducting improvement works to the roadway from Ord Road to the BC SPCA on Tranquille Road from Monday, May 1st and is expected to continue until Thursday, May 25th.
Tranquille Road will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic for the duration of the works. During the day (07:00AM-7:00PM) flaggers will be present, and for after-hours (7:00PM-07:00AM), the road will be accessible. Note: during accessible hours, the roadway will be unpaved.
As noted in the below image, the construction starts at the railway crossing on Ord Rd. and continues to the edge of BC SPCA property:
We recommend planning ahead for your travels to YKA as delays are expected.
