Please be advised that the BC Ministry of Forests, Wildfire Division, will be using the float plane base on Thursday, March 23, 2023, for an exercise. Kamloops Fire Rescue and our ARFF personnel are planning to be in attendance. Note that this is a training exercise only.
The wildfire crew will be utilizing the pathway west of the launch to the end of Aviation Way. The path will be barricaded and signed. City of Kamloops is aware and will be publishing a notice on their website. Approvals are also in place from the federal Ministry of Fisheries and Oceans.
