Happy New Year

With the arrival of a new year we wish all the best to families and friends and may the skies be friendly.

Our next meeting is on Feb. 6. We will be discussing a calendar of events for the entire year so come out and give us your ideas. We will have a post meeting media presentation on meteorology.

Recent COPA for Kids event a success.

We also hosted our first COPA for Kids day at the airport with 9 participants enjoying their first opportunity to fly in a small general aviation aircraft..

Our monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 20:00 at the clubhouse on the south side of the airport next to Inland Communication. Come out and help make the club a useful focal point for aviation in the Kamloops area.

Membership dues reduced to $60/yr.. enjoy a great flying club building and support general aviation in Kamloops

COPA for Kids

The Kamloops Flying Club under sponsorship with the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association offer kids from ages 8-17 years and opportunity to experience flight in a smaller general aviation aircraft. This cost of the program is covered by the pilots of the aircraft involved. Our club wishes to foster an increased awareness of the joys and freedom of general aviation. It is clear that pilot numbers have been decreasing over the last few years and there is a need for pilots for the future. Note: This year the minimum age has been raised to 8 years of age.
