Welcome to the Kamloops Flying Club
The Kamloops Flying Club has been a focus of aviation activities in Kamloops for the past 40+ years. In 2000 we became COPA Flight 82 with our association with the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association. Through this relationship we have been involved with the COPA for Kids events which introduces our youth to the world of general aviation.
Every year we engage our fellow clubs in and around the province to host several fly-in events as well as fly-outs to their hosted events.
Tylair Aviation opens doors at the Kamloops Flying Club.
After a spring of renovation and paperwork the flight operation of the latest flight school has begun. This is an exciting time for the flying club with increased aviation activity as well as an opportunity for the students to see the club house and hopefully the merits of becoming a member. Initial operation will be with a Cessna 172 which will be available for rent. Check out Tylers Website... Tylair.com
Mothers Day Cache Creek Fly-in Breakfast
A nice sunny but extremely windy day in Cache Creek. A number of warbirds attended the event and a couple of adventureous aviators braved the winds. A great meal was served as always put on by the Lions Club.
Check out our events calendar www.flybc.info for the latest events.
Next weekend there are a number of events scheduled from Pitt Meadows Rust Remover and BC Floatplane AGM, Prince George Breakfast, Quesnel evening BBQ followed the next morning with a Pancake Breakfast. Also an interesting adventure to Vargas and Nootka Island on Sunday starting at the Nanaimo Flying Club.
Membership in the club is $60/year. Our meetings are the first Monday of the month at 20:00hrs that is not a statutory holiday. If we are having a speaker meetings start at 19:30hrs. Notice of speakers will be noted on the Flying Events Calendar.
