Come out to forge a plan to celebrate the Centennial of Powered Flight in Canada.

On February 23, 1909 the Silver Dart took flight in Baddeck, Nova Scotia to herald the beginning of powered flight in Canada. Help prepare some events to celebrate this great achievement.

Check out the Flying Events Page for the spring/summer schedule.

Kamloops Flying Club membership

  • The Kamloops Flying Club is only a strong and effective voice for general aviation if we have sufficient members. Encourage fellow pilots to join and ensure that general aviation has a future in Kamloops. As the airport expands there will be further pressure to marginalize our rights as well as introduce user fees that will certainly spell the beginning of the end.

COPA for Kids Program

Recently the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association has finalized a program to replace the Young Eagles program promoted through the Experimental Aircraft Association. It essentially replaces the Young Eagles program with an emphasis to promote general aviation to kids between the ages of 7 and 17 years. The event is free and offered as a service to the community.

The Kamloops Flying Club will be participating in this program and will soon be finalizing a date for a Spring COPA for Kids event.

For more details see the new COPA Kids page. Inquiries are welcomed at cj4me@shaw.ca
